Eleanor’s Obituary Eleanor DelVecchio Bertolini, 90, of Hamden, died at CT Hospice after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Eugene Bertolini. Eleanor was born in Hamden, April 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Vincenzio and Pasqualina LaPenta DelVecchio and lived in West Haven prior to moving back to Hamden.

In her younger days she was a counter clerk for the former Marioni’s Ice Cream Parlor and enjoyed reading and being with her family. She is survived by a sister, MaryAnn Knight (William) and a brother Alfred (Florence) DelVecchio, all of Hamden and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siiblings, Josephine Guarino, Sylvia Barbieri, Angelina Nista, Adele DelVecchio, Margaret Suffredini, Edith Vasquez, Paul, Salvatore, and Vincent DelVecchio Sr. Funeral Friday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave, Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 o’clock Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
