Eleanor’s Obituary Eleanor F. (Pratt) Young, 95 Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother Westminster-Eleanor F. (Pratt) Young, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. Eleanor was born on March 10, 1923, a daughter of the late Archie F. and Christina (Nolan) Pratt and has lived in Westminster since the end of WWII. Her beloved husband of 63 years Ralph E. Young died in 2007.

Elanor was raised in Winchendon and was a 1941 graduate of Murdock High School. She worked as a department manager for Sears for over 25 years, retiring at the age of 63. She and Ralph loved to travel.

Together they visited Hawaii, Europe and cruised through the Panama Canal. She loved wintering in Fort Myers, Florida. Eleanor was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church of Westminster and was active in the Women’s Fellowship.

She and her husband were also members of the Westminster Historical Society. Eleanor will be missed by her two daughters, Linda Pellerin and her husband Ron of Milford, NH and Cathy Phelps and her husband Russell of Westminster; three grandchildren, James J. Szabunka, Lesley Szabunka and Emily Scalici; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her brother Leonard Pratt and her sister Edna Plummer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11am in the First Congregational Church of Westminster, 138 Main St. Westminster. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be held on Friday February 8, 2019 from 9:30-10:30am in the Westminster Chapel of The Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main St. Westminster.
