Obituary of Eleanor Wisniewski Eleanor Frances Wisniewski, age 86, of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 29, 1932, a daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Jendzurski) Zawicki. Eleanor was born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia and lived most of her life in Norristown, where she was a member of St. Paul’s RC Church.

Prior to retiring, in 1996, she worked as a receptionist for Montgomery Family Practice where she enjoyed her daily interactions with the doctors and patients. Eleanor loved tending to her flower beds, and enjoyed it when neighbors and people out for walks complimented her on their beauty and profuse colors. She was a huge fan of home shopping channels, especially the gardening and cooking segments.

She loved her family, and was especially close to her son, Ken who was a tremendous help to her in the last couple of years. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Wisniewski. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn (the late Dan) McCreary of Perkasie; son, Ken Wisniewski of Norristown; brother, Tony (Nancy) Zawicki of Philadelphia; as well as two granddaughters, Meaghan (Matt) Luttrell and Lauren (Doug) Greaves; and two great grandchildren, Cecilia & Graham.

Along with her husband and parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her baby sister, Florence. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service on Tuesday, January 29 at 11:00 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 19 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA 19401. A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Eleanor’s family would appreciate contributions made in her name to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home 610-277-1600 www.
