Obituary of Elida Castro Elida Castro nee Patlan, 72, of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, November 13, 2018. She is the beloved wife of Antonio R. Castro. The couple were united in marriage January 29, 1974.

Elida is the loving mother of Daniel (Maribel) Castro and Catherine (Richard) Ryan. She is the devoted grandmother of Karina, Jaina, Isabella, David and Luke. Elida is the dear sister of the late Rudy (Donna) Patlan, the late Adelaido Patlan, Pete (Peggy) Patlan and Jose (Rosie) Patlan and the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

She also leaves many friends to cherish her memory. Elida was a lifelong resident of Blue Island. She was a member of St. Benedict Parish.

Elida was formerly employed as an office manager for both Pronger Smith Clinic and Blue Island Medical Center. Visitation for Elida will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave. , Blue Island.

Cremation will be private.
