Vinson “Bubba” Dean Kelley of Columbia, Tennessee January 20, 1964 – January 27, 2019 Mr. Vinson “Bubba” Dean Kelley, age 55, a resident of Columbia, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the VA Hospital in Nashville. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1PM at Fly Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James Lunsford and Rick Points officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.

A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10AM-1PM at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on January 20, 1964 in Maury County, Vinson was the son of the late Jennifer Williams and Eddie and Shirley Kelley. He was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a self employed drywall contractor.

Bubba was an avid Tennessee Vols fan who loved camping and fishing. He also enjoyed going to baseball games and watching his sons play baseball; he was always the loudest fan there! He was a master at grilling steaks and could make a mean pot of white beans.

Along with his parents he is survived by his sons: Ricky Hardiman of Culleoka, PO2 Austyn (Lyndsey) Kelley of Culleoka stationed at Norfolk, VA; grandson: Knox Kelley; the mother of his children and lifelong friend: Katina Hardiman of Culleoka; sisters: Stacey (Scott) Cohenour of Columbia, April (Paul) Watson of Columbia, Gina Calvert of Columbia; brothers: Ryan (Melissa) Kelley of Columbia, Lee (Tabatha) Williams of Summertown; grandmother: Beatrice Boshers of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step father: Gary Williams; maternal grandparents: Harrison & Maggie Walker; and paternal grandfather: W.S. Kelley. Pallbearers will be: Ricky Hardiman, Austyn Kelley, Lee Williams, Ryan Kelley, Kenny Morris, and Mark Deweese. Honorary pallbearers will include: Bart Kelley, Steven Williams, and Kevin Morris.
