OBITUARY Elizabeth Ann Grauer July 23, 1944 – August 31, 2018 Elizabeth Grauer, 74 passed away on August 31st from complications of Alzheimers. Born in Baltimore, she lived the last 6 years of her life in Sandwich, MA. She loved the Cape and life in the village; and was a member and supporter of the Sandwich Arts Alliance.

During her career, she worked over 40 years in the Northeast educational school systems; primarily middle school English, but also high school, administration and alternative education. She was a strong advocate for children. Elizabeth will be missed for her sweet disposition, kindness, friendliness, and her generous warm hugs.

She is survived by her spouse Diane Scharf, her brother Jack (Yvonne) Grauer, sister in law Laurie Kelly, brother in law Gary (Dorothy) Scharf, father in law William Scharf as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at the Unitarian Church 3330 Main Street Barnstable, MA. Visitation Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA.
