Elizabeth “Betty”‘s Obituary Northview ~ North Mankato Mortuary 2060 Commerce Drive North Mankato, MN 56003 507-388-2288 Elizabeth “Betty” A. Anderson, age 84 of Mankato died Saturday, May 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at her home. Prayer service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday May 30, 2019 at Northview-North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. service on Thursday at Northview.

Burial will be at Minneopa Cemetery in Mankato. Betty Anderson was born April 23, 1935 to Earl and Susanna (Vermeersch) Abelman in Faribault, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Robert O. Anderson on August 21, 1954 at Ss.

Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato. During her life she owned and operated her own beauty shop from her home, also worked at Shari Candies, and the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Betty was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.

She enjoyed many crafts including, painting, sculpting, plasterware, and sewing quilts. Betty was most proud of raising her eight children. Betty is survived by her eight children, Chris Anderson and special friend, Teresa Focht, Randy (Nancy) Anderson, Sue Anderson and significant other, Tim Murphy, Jim (Julie) Anderson, Rita (Jim) Janda, Caroline Anderson, Matthew Anderson, and fiancé, Beth Gillier; Marion Anderson; six grandchildren, Kim (Jeremy) Taylor, Jason Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson and fiancé John Clobes, Nicole Murphy and significant other, Mike Zernechel, Joe (Erin) Janda, Toni Anderson; step grandchildren, Liliane Gillier, Severin Gillier; five great-grandchildren and one more soon; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Robert in 2010.
