Elizabeth Murphy Hunt, of Westfield, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, October 7, 2018. She leaves behind her husband Larry, daughter Anne (Robert) Cappabianca of Hillsborough, NJ, son Timothy (Jennifer) Hunt of Sudbury, MA, and sister Elaine (James) Tourtelotte of Longmeadow, MA. She was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Lynch.

She was the daughter of Edward and Ethel Murphy. Beth was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren (Michael, Meg, and Caroline Cappabianca; Teddy and Bridget Hunt). She was a native of West Roxbury, MA, was graduated from Emanuel College and Boston College’s School of Social Work.

She previously worked for the Polish National Credit Union and for a number of non-profit social service agencies in Boston and Western Massachusetts. Beth was a volunteer of the Helping Hands Club of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Westfield Soup Kitchen. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at Firtion Adams in Westfield from 4pm – 7pm on Friday, October 12.

A funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westfield at 10:30am on Saturday, October 13. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Westfield Soup Kitchen, P.O. Box 2017, Westfield, MA 01086 or St. Mary’s Pastoral Ministry Fund, 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield, MA, 01085.
