Elizabeth Zerbe “Ann” Gehr, 93, formerly of Cogan Station, died peacefully Friday, May 10, 2019, at Manor Care Health Services North. Born Sept. 29, 1925, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Elizabeth (Drum) Zerbe.

Ann was a high school graduate and worked as a supervisor at the former Bailey Controls, now Primus, until her retirement in 1988. Following retirement she worked part-time at Wegman’s into her 80s. She attended Hepburn Baptist Church, was a past president of the Republican Women and a member of the Polish Club, and American Legion Post 1.

Ann enjoyed playing bingo, taking bus trips to the casinos and loved animals including her poodles, Ricky one and Ricky two, and her horse, Sam. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Anna Zerbe, of Cogan Station, and best friend, Helen Lorson. In addition to her husband of 56 years, Max E. Gehr, Ann was preceded in death by her two brothers, Paul and Roy Zerbe, and a sister, Clara Putnam Fish.

A graveside service to honor the life of Ann will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, in Stoltz Cemetery, Cogan Station. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
