Obituary of Elizabeth Feathers Elizabeth Feathers, 91, of Westover passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Sundale Nursing Home with family at her bedside. She was born June 28, 1927, in Cascade, WV, daughter of Frank and Mae Raskell. Elizabeth graduated from Morgantown High School in 1944, and worked at E.F. Bowlby Insurance Company, and Monongalia County Court House Tax Department.

She was a member of Spruce St. United Methodist Church, Westside Senior Center, and Westover Women’s Club. Elizabeth is survived by daughter, Sharon Hilleary and husband Richard of Morgantown, and son, Gary Feathers and wife Susan of Atlanta. Also surviving are grandchildren, Michael Hilleary and wife Tara, Christopher Hilleary, Jennifer Feathers, and Amanda Feathers.

She had three great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Anna Kate Hilleary, and Anthony Diaz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years Foster, sisters Mary Thomas, Margaret Raskell, Rose Raskell, Josephine Murphy, brothers Tony Raskell, Joseph Raskell, and James Raskell, and great-grandson Jackson Hilleary. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to faithful caregiver and forever family friend, Delores Metheny, nephew Frank Feathers and wife Kathy for weekly visits and homemade cookies, special neighbor Bob Takarsik, and countless friends for many acts of kindness.

In addition, Elizabeth’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Pastor Neil Leftwich, Amedysis Hospice, and the outstanding staff at Sundale Nursing Home for their exceptional care and compassion to her and her family during her stay and last days. The family will receive friends at McCulla Funeral Home from 4-7 pm Wednesday, January 30, and from 10 am Thursday until the 11 am funeral service with Pastor Neil Leftwich officiating. Interment to follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to the Sundale Employee Appreciation Fund, 800 JD Anderson Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505, or to Spruce Street United Methodist Church Radio Ministry, 386 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505.
