She was one of the “Baker Bunch” who grew up in the 1st Ward community of Morgantown. Ginny is survived by her four children, Michael Parenti and wife, Sandra, Fred and wife, Sandra, Kevin and wife, Deborah, and Patricia Parenti-Hughes. Together, they joined many other young beginning families who came to Brookhaven to build their homes, start their families and build a special Brookhaven community. She was a true “Brookhaven”, stay-at-home Mom. Joe and Ginny were like so many other young couples at that period of time, post-WWII–eager to get started and willing to work hard to fulfill their dreams.

One of Ginny’s pleasures was bowling which she bowled for many years. As she bowled, she made many great friends and enjoyed going on those bowling trips which would take her all over the U.S. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, and on Saturday, January 12th from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM with Reverend Janice Smith officiating.
