Aaron’s Obituary Aaron Dean Jones, 47, of Morgantown, WV passed away unexpectedly, with complications of Hodgkin’s disease on Monday December 17, 2018. Aaron fought a long and hard battle over the last several years, dealing with multiple surgeries and many difficulties. Aaron was born in Beckley, WV, son to Ellen Waddell Jones and the late Lewis Jones on February 4, 1971.

He grew up in Lewisburg and graduated from Greenbrier East High School. He would later receive his master’s degree in Sports Marketing & Management from WVU. He would go on to teach in the Es County, VA, school system for several years.

He was most recently employed by United BioSource (UBC) in Morgantown as a data entry technician. To say the Aaron was a fan of WVU sports, would be an understatement. He rarely missed an event and was proud to be a Mountaineer.

In addition to his mother Ellen, Aaron is survived by his wife of 24 years, Robin Loomis Jones; sister, Valorie Richardson and husband Steven all of Morgantown; nephews, Matthew and Derek Richardson, Chris and James Fletcher and Adam Loomis; nieces, Lisa Fletcher, Amy Loomis Perkins and Ali Loomis Bostick. Also surviving is his father-in-law, James Loomis Caldwell, WV sisters-in-law Jeanie Fletcher (Ernie) of Williamsburg, WV, Debbie Loomis of Caldwell, WV; brother-in-law, Nook Loomis (Cathy) of Caldwell, WV; many great nieces, nephews and his faithful Boxer, Daphne. In addition to his father Lewis, Aaron was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Doris “Dottie” Loomis.

A remembrance gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 4pm to 6pm. To celebrate Aaron’s love of WVU, please consider wearing your gold and blue. A private inurnment ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.
