Donald’s Obituary Donald Lee Brotherton, 71 of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont. He was born in Waynesburg, PA on November 1, 1947, son to Otha and Imogene McClure Brotherton. He was a 1966 graduate of University High School.

He then enlisted in the US ARMY for four years and was honorably discharged in 1970. Following his service in the Army, Don worked as a heavy equipment operator at several strip mines around the area. He also worked delivering and setting up mobile homes for various manufactured housing dealers.

Survived by one daughter, Amy Weister and husband Mike, of Morgantown two sons, Pat Brotherton and wife Brandy of Shinnston, WV & Chris Brotherton; seven grandchildren, Brooklynn Dawn Weister, Travis Brotherton, Cierra Richardson, Austin Brotherton, Chelsey, Savannah & Meggan; great grandson, Connor James Minard. Also surviving are siblings, Nancy Snyder and husband Dale, of Morgantown, Roger Brotherton and wife Brenda, of Maidsville & Sue Matthews and husband Charlie, of Taylortown, PA, Preceded in death by his parents, Otha and Imogene Brotherton and one brother, John Brotherton. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Feb.

13 from 2-4 & 6-8pm and again on Thursday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the WVANG, Camp Dawson and Westover VFW Post 9916. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home to help with expenses.
