Billy’s Obituary Billy J. DeVall, 88, of Morgantown, passed away, Monday, February 11, 2019. The son of the late Hoy E. and Belva Grace Tichnell DeVall, he was born August, 31, 1930, in Albright, WV. Billy was a United States Air Force Veteran.

He was proud to be a coal miner and later retired from the Dominion Post after 30 plus years. Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking care of his garden. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Billy is survived by his son, Brian “Doug” DeVall; a granddaughter, Heather Christopher and her husband, Matthew; two grandsons: Bill DeVall and his wife, Shelli, and Douglas DeVall; six great-grandchildren: Hannah and Hailey Cunningham, Alex and Taylor DeVall, and Kane and Amelia DeVall; a brother, Terry DeVall and his wife, Rosemary; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Savage DeVall; a son, Billy Kane DeVall; two great-grandchildren: Andre and Rayshaun Hildebrand DeVall; three brothers: John DeVall, Norman ‘Bob’ DeVall, and Homer ‘Buss’ DeVall. Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Sunday, from 2pm to 5pm and again on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 10am until the 11am funeral service will Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.

Burial with full military honors will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
