Arnold’s Obituary Arnold James ‘Jim’ Rowan, 82, of Kingwood, formerly of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the home of his daughter. The son of the late Charles H. and Virgie Kelley Rowan he was born September 8, 1936 in Booth, WV. Jim was a United States Air Force veteran and a veteran of Army National Guard.

He was a retired coal miner from Federal #2 and previously worked at Beaumont Glass Factory. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and loved antique cars. He loved watching football and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music.

He is survived by his son, Mike Rowan; a daughter, Heather Rowan; two brothers, Larry Rowan and Chuck Rowan; a sister, Carol Powers; and three nieces and a nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Rowan; a daughter, Michelle Renee Rowan; a son, Trace Bryan Rowan; a sister, Charlotte Rowan; and a nephew, Larry L. Rowan. Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Monday, November 12, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm and again on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 10am until the 11am funeral service.

Burial with full military honors will follow at Pisgah Cemetery, Morgantown. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and West Virginia Caring for the love and care given to Jim.
