Bernice ‘Grams”s Obituary On Monday, December 3, Bernice ‘Grams’ Strakal, 70, of Morgantown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away unexpectedly at the Mon Health Medical Center, surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was born February 3, 1948 in Morgantown daughter to Joseph and Anna Powroznik.

Bernice was a graduate of University High School, class of ’67. She most recently worked for the Monongalia County Board of Education. She was a long-time member of the Cassville United Methodist Church.

Bernice is survived by her husband of 48 years, William ‘Bill’ Strakal; one son, Brian and wife Stacy Strakal of Morgantown, one daughter, Traci and husband Michael Charlton of Reedsville, six grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Strakal, Josh Riggs, Mickenna and Madison Charlton and Michael Charlton, Jr. Also surviving is one sister, Helen Bartolo of Westover and two brothers, Joseph Powroznik of Morgantown and Leon Powroznik of Westover and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Rose Powroznik, Dolly Barr and Patricia Coulter. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec.

6, 2018 from 2pm until 6pm. Services will follow at 6:30pm with Pastor Wanda Brosky officiating. Private graveside services will follow on Friday.

In lieu of flowers Cassville UMC, 501 Cassville Mt. Morris Road Cassville, WV 26501. The family would like to offer special thanks all the medical professionals who treated and cared for Miss Bernice over the last several years.
