Obituary of Robert “Bob” Petitte Sr. Robert “Bob” Andrew James Petitte, Sr., 90, of Morgantown passed away at his home on January 31, 2019. Bob was born in Morgantown on September 27, 1928 to the late Frank Petitte and Marianna Moracci. Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and continued his career with the Army, retiring as a Master Sargent.

He also owned and operated University Oldsmobile and Petitte Auto Repair. Bob faithfully attended St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and bowling.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol Joan Gorby Petitte; daughter: Debra Piktel and her husband David; Robert Petitte Jr. and his wife Anita of Charleston, WV; grandchildren: Chyanne and Asia Petitte and Courtney and Tyler Piktel; brother George Petitte and his wife Janice. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers Herman Petitte and Geno Petitte; and a sister: Lillian Rinaldi and her husband Aldo. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Robert and Carol Gorby for all the years of love and support given to the family.

It is appreciated so much. Friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday, February 3 from 1-4 pm and on Monday from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service with Father Gary Naegele. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Peace Mausoleum with graveside military honors conferred by the WVANG and the Westover VFW Post #9916.
