Mrs. Ella Carlisi age 80, departed this life on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at her home in Fraser, Michigan. She was the daughter of Christopher Bargo and Cordie (Gambrel) Bargo born to them on November 3, 1937 in Barbourville, Kentucky. She was the widow of Fedele Carlisi.

Mrs. Ella Carlisi was a hard worker and a supervisor of White Castle for many years. She retired early to watch children and enjoy her grandchildren. Ella didn’t miss a sporting event or dance recital with her grandchildren.

She enjoyed news and politics. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Fedele Carlisi, her parents Christopher and Cordie (Gambrel) Bargo, sisters Elsie Cloud and husband Ronnie, Effie Stokley, Goldie Lopp and husband Cliff, Sarah Broughton and husband Floyd, Flo Suggs and husband Bill, brothers Bill Bargo and wife Hazel, Lonzo Bargo and wife Jean, and in-laws Joe and Fran Carlisi, Nick Carlisi, Tony Carlisi, Al Carlisi, Jack Caiozzo, Frances Carlisi and Theresa Carlisi. Left behind to mourn her passing are her children Sherry Ward and husband Bob, Fran Shinaberry and husband Joel, Rich Carlisi and wife Shawna, Phil Carlisi and wife Kathleen, brother Elzo ‘Al’ Bargo and wife Sue, grandchildren Richie Carlisi, Rachel Carlisi, Carly Shinaberry, Courtney Shinaberry, Holly MacDonald and husband Rory, Lauren Foster, Nicola Carlisi, Danielle Carlisi, great–grandchildren Nolan Carlisi, Noella Carlisi, Lyla MacDonald and in-laws Mary Caiozzo, Flo Squicciarini and husband John, Helga Carlisi, and Jane Carlisi.

She leaves behind many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Carlisi will be conducted on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel in Barbourville, Kentucky, with Reverend Tommy Frazier officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, April 27 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to one of the following sites ‘In Honor of Mrs. Ella Carlisi’.
