Mrs. Norma Shearer Smith age 90 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2018 in the Diversa-care of Claiborne in New Tazewell, TN. She was born on October 29, 1927 in Gatliff, Kentucky the daughter of Millard and Myrtle (Lawson) Brown. On May 13, 1946, she united in marriage with Evan Coolidge Smith and to this union three children were born.

Norma was a member of the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents. Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving husband Evan Coolidge Smith of Barbourville, her daughter Janet Wilder and husband James of Corbin, KY, Wilma Girdner and husband Ike of Cincinnati, Ohio and Evan Keith Smith and wife Gwendolyn of Barbourville, her grand-daughter Angela and great grandsons, Eric & Evan.
