(Latshaw) Stanton of Reading died January 11, 2019 at the Sunrise of Burlington Nursing Home. She was 87 years of age. Ellen was born in Everett, Massachusetts on February 2, 1931 the daughter of Harry and Leona (McCarten) Latshaw.

Ellen was a resident of Reading for 45 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Stanton. Devoted mother of Edward J. Stanton, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Peabody, Timothy J. Stanton and his wife Ali of Acton, Ellen Lee and her husband Donald of Middleton and Brenda Stanton of N. Reading.

Cherished sister of Robert Latshaw of Framingham and loving grandmother of 7. Her funeral will be held from the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Tuesday, January 15 at 9:30a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30a.m. Burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody. Funeral Home visiting hours Monday Evening from 4:00-7:00p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ellen’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
