Dateline Jasper, Indiana Ellen L. Fuhrman, age 78 of Jasper, passed away at 4:29 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the University of Louisville Hospital in Kentucky. Ellen was born in Washington, Indiana on March 10, 1941 to Harold and Bessie (Wagner) Frady. She married Emil Fuhrman on March 27, 1965 at Frady Memorial United Methodist Church in Raglesville, IN.

He preceded her in death on May 7, 2013. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She was active in her weekly bible study and enjoyed reading, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters; Marcia (Gary) Hopf, Bloomington, IL, Karen (Steve) Lovell, Oswego, IL, Two sons; Stanford Fuhrman, Jasper, IN, Kevin (Susan) Fuhrman, Bloomington, IL. Six Grandchildren; Emily, Megan, Adam Hopf, and Joshua, Jenna and Alicia Lovell. One sister; Lois Ann (Dennis) Finster, Greenwood, IN.

One brother John (Lana) Frady, Washington, IN. and Several nieces and nephews Preceding her in death besides her husband is her twin sister, Helen Vermillion. Funeral services for Ellen Fuhrman will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 27, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville, Indiana with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Pastor Rauschau will officiate. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 26, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Becher Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before the service time at the church on Monday May 27. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund.
