Helen (Elona) Kostishack White Danvers, MA: Elona Anna (Ulanowsky) Kostishack White, 98, formerly of Carnegie, PA, passed away on August 24, 2018. Born May 24, 1920, in Moon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Frank Ulanowsky. Elona grew up in McKees Rocks, PA.

She is predeceased by her husband, William White, her former husband, Daniel Kostishack and six siblings. Elona is survived by her two sons and their families, Daniel and Elaine Kostishack of Marblehead, MA and John and Dorothea Kostishack of Minneapolis, MN. She was the beloved grandmother to Julie, Sara, Amy and Peter; and great-grandmother to Nicolas, Julia, Alexandretta, Maya, Lena, Nate and Lilo.

Elona was very involved in the activities of her church, St. John the Baptist, in McKees Rocks. Elona worked as the Director of Food Services for the Y.W.C.A. in downtown Pittsburgh and in retirement continued to work for Canevin High School in Carnegie, PA.

Elona was a devoted grandmother who loved to bake, sending care packages to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Although Elona spent the last years of her life north of Boston, MA, it was her wish to be buried with her husband in Carnegie, PA. A visitation gathering of family and friends will be held on September 11, 2018 at Bagnato Funeral Home, Carnegie, PA 10 AM until the blessing service at 1PM.
