Novelli Helen (Ortoski) In loving memory of Helen Novelli. She passed away 11/24/18 at the age of 95 years old. She is predeceased by her husband Frank.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Novelli, Ph.D. and her son-in-law, Lawrence Barr, Ph.D. of Portsmouth, NH. , as well as a number of loving nieces and nephews, their loving spouses, and their supportive and caring children. A long time resident of Carnegie, PA.

, she worked for many years in the Carlynton School District as an administrative assistant to the Vice Principal of the high school. She was an active member of Holy Souls Parish and later Saint Elizabeth Seton Parish. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed needlepoint, crewel, cross stitch, crochet work, and knitting.

She was also a wonderful gardener. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Aplastic Anemia Foundation and MDS Foundation at aamds.org or to a local Homeless Shelter of your choice. Friends received at the Bagnato Funeral Home, Jefferson St., Carnegie Thurs 2-4 6-8 PM Funeral Mass in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Friday 9 AM.
