Obituary for Elsie G. Kennedy RICHMOND, Ind. – Elsie G. Kennedy, age 99, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living. Born July 23, 1918, in Dublin, Indiana, to Harvey and Minnie Morton Hoover, Elsie lived in Richmond most of her life.

She was a 1936 graduate of Lincoln High School. Elsie retired in 1971 from the former Indianapolis Glove Company and had formerly worked at the hot dog stand at Tom Raper RV. She was a member of the former Faith Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Tomaszewicz of Marietta, Georgia, and Jalene (Robert) Niewoehner of Richmond; son, Allen (Carol) Kennedy of Richmond; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert L. Kennedy, who died on March 24, 2004; parents; sister, Mary Cathryn and infant sister, Agnus; and brothers, Harold, Russell, and Bill. Visitation for Elsie G. Kennedy will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Judi Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
