Elsie Mae Deacon 89 of Windham, formerly of Kent, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born November 13, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to Cloyd E. and Edna Mae (Smith) Dodson. She was a custodian for over 30 years for Kent State University and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her grandson Raymond Hosterman, great grandchildren John and Ashley Hosterman, great great granddaughter Anrenee Hill and sister Emma Setlock. Caregiver Diana Mullins and friend Tina Drurey. Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Deborah Boor and siblings Margie Myers, Donald, Charles and Eddie Dodson. Calling hours will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm on Tuesday at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent with Reverend William Snyder officiating.
