Obituary for Elsie M. Thomas Elsie Ginger Thomas, age 81, passed away Sunday November 18th, 2018. She was born on August 4th, 1937 in Carter Co. Kentucky to the late James & Nora McGlone. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Plazye (Pat) Thomas, parents: James and Nora McGlone, sisters: Annabelle, Tish, Suzie, and Orbie, brothers: Samuel, William, Everett, Tivis, and two infants.
Survived by her sister Maxine McCormick of Kentucky, and many, many nieces, nephews and other loved ones. She had no children but her niece Charlene often referred to Elsie as her second mother. Elsie was loved by everyone that knew her.
Some of her greatest joys was playing piano and singing with her husband Pat, family and friends whom she shared her love with letters, cards, and special gifts. She retired from National Industries in Jackson, Mississippi, where she lived the last 50+ years. She recently just come back to Ohio, hoping the James Cancer Hospital would help her, but God had other plans.
After a long fight with doctors, hospitals, and the nursing home, Elsie passed away peacefully in the loving home of her great nephew Michael Rucker, Bonnie Sue’s son. Psalms 116:15 says that,”Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints”. Elsie’s human race is complete.
She like Paul can now confidently say, 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Elsie too has fought a good fight, she has finished her course, she has kept the faith, And she too now can say, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Elsie you will be greatly missed but will always be a treasure in our hearts, till we meet again ! Service at 2pm, Burial immediately following service, next to her sister Annabelle at Fernwood Cemetery 460 Rowe Rd. Lockbourne, OH 43137. Pastor Michael Back officiating.
