Obituary for Elsie Williams Elsie Williams, 96, passed away on Wednesday October 17th, at the Center for Nursing & Rehab in Hoosick Falls, NY. She was the wife of the late Charles Williams who died several years ago. They resided on South Street in Hoosick.

Elsie was born on February 16, 1922, in Johnsonville, NY, daughter of the late Leroy and Lelia (Salmon) Gardner. She attended schools in Hoosick Falls and was employed at the Albany Felt Company in Hoosick Falls. Elsie was a member of the Hoosick Baptist Church and enjoyed dancing, bowling and gardening.

Survivors include her son Charles “Butch” Williams (Kathy) of Arden, NC, daughter-in-law Janet Williams of Hoosick Falls, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Elsie is predeceased by a son Robert Williams, sister Eva Wolfe and three brothers Irving, Leroy and Leon Gardner. Funeral services will be Saturday October 20th at 11:00 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY.

Burial will follow the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery in Hoosick, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday form 10:00 am until the start of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hoosick Baptist Church through the funeral home.
