Obituary for Elvia Capetillo Elvia Capetillo (84) of Toppenish passed away with her family by her side at her home in Toppenish on May 24, 2018. Elvia was born in Monterrey, Mexico where she was raised and educated. She moved to Toppenish in 1962 and worked as a laborer in hops, mint, fruit and sugar beets.

She also worked at Del Monte in Toppenish. She enjoyed gardening, rock collecting from the river and was a crafty hard working lady. She is survived by three sons, Antonio and Lupe Capetillo both of Toppenish and Daniel Juarez of Benton City; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Juan De Leon of Pasco and Carlos De Leon of Toppenish; four sisters, Aurora Zuniga of Idaho, Cruz, Viscalla of Mt.

Vernon, Eva Hernandez of Yakima and Rosa Ruiz of Pasco. Elvia was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Capetillo; three sons, Carlos, Rey and David and three siblings. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 1-5PM at Colonial Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11AM Wednesday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery west of Toppenish. Friends can send condolences at www. toppenishfunerals.com.
