OBITUARY Elvira M. Bentley September 30, 1926 – December 10, 2018 Elvira M. Bentley, 92, of Lake of the woods, Hudson, IN passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Bentley was born on September 30, 1926 in Fort Wayne, IN to Edward F. and Velma D. (Fiegel) Romary. She graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne.

On November 14, 1952, she married Hubert Charles Bentley at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Angola, IN. Elvira retired from the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation as a supervisor. She was former president of both the Phi Chapter of Gamma Nu and The Fort Wayne Firefighters Auxiliary.

She was a member of the Allen County Democratic Women’s Club and VFW Post 2749. Elvira enjoyed crafting, reading, sewing, cooking, and playing Euchre. Survivors include her Children; Myles (Lori) Bentley and Kay (Doug) Hilkey, grandchildren; Andrea (Ryan) Merchant, Sara Bentley, and Alex Bentley, great-grandchildren; Brody Merchant, Myla Pruitt, Brinley Merchant, and Suzanna Pruitt.

Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Myra Bentley. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park from 3-7pm.
