Emily M. McCormick, 85, of Williamsport died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Valley View Nursing Center. Born Aug. 26, 1932, in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Grace Shuman Mathias.

Emily was a 1951 graduate of Milton High School. She worked at Cobblers from 1960 to 1976 as a supervisor. She moved to San Diego, Calif.

to work for Shoe & Stuff as a shoe designer until the company closed in 1982. Emily then worked at Desal until 1990 when she moved back to Pennsylvania to be closer to her family. She worked at Bertha Boys until she retired in 1995.

She is survived by her children, Gordon E. McCormick and Michael S. “Moe” (Judy) McCormick, both of Williamsport, Mark D. (Sherrie) McCormick of Calif. ; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris (Richard) Winner, of New Columbia. She was preceded in death by a sister, June Guisewhite.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Sanders Mortuary.
