Emma Jean “GG” Sayles Purtle, 90, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 18, 2019. Emma was born October 11, 1928 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bense and Nora Sayles; and siblings Earl Sayles, Ruby Finch and Mildred Hammons.

Emma is survived by daughters, Billie (Sheldon) Sargent, Diane (Jake) Milligan, and Kay (Jack) Langston; ten grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; many extended family and friends and her grand-dog, Penny. Emma was a member of Morgan Full Gospel in North Little Rock. She was a living testament of what a Christian should be.

She shared her love of Christ with everyone. Emma retired with over thirty-three years from Food Service at Amboy Elementary and Oak Grove High School. She shared her love of cooking, always ready with a meal or dish for anyone in need or just an appetite.

She loved playing games, cards, singing and spending time with her family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Rachel Haggard, Jayme Lee Milligan and the great Hospice Care team. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at Morgan Full Gospel Church. Burial will follow in Sumner Cemetery.
