Obituary for Emma Mae Eutsler John, Eutsler age 86, and Emma (Patrick) Eutsler, age 85, passed away 6 weeks apart from each other. John passed away March 13, 2018 and Emma April 21, 2018. John was born August 29, 1931 in Abesville to Ernest and Minnie (Pritchard) Eutsler.

Emma was born November 17, 1932 in Galena to Charles and Belle (Stewart) Patrick. John and Emma were married in 1950 in Harrison AR while their families thought they were at the movies. Their marriage lasted 68 years.

John was a dairy farmer and then drove 18 wheelers. He began by hauling livestock. John bought his own truck and contracted to different companies.

Emma was his co-driver for seven years. Emma went to cosmetology school and was a hair dresser for many years. She loved working in the yard and loved to be outside.

Emma would plant flowers to attract humming birds. She enjoyed listening to the birds sing and the fresh air. John liked to tinker, work on the mower and mowing.

Emma loved people and loved life. She loved music and singing. She was a devout Christian and knew the Bible inside and out.

John was saved late in life while listening to Billy Graham on the T.V. with Emma. They were members of the Nixa Christian Church. John and Emma were snow birds and traveled to Mission TX every year.

They were very active at the campsite in Mission, TX and knew everyone there. They loved camping and John especially loved to travel. They also went to the gospel sing at Meramec Caverns.

John and Emma are survived by a daughter Jeana Siler and her husband Jim of Billings: grandchildren Emily Crouse, her husband Matt and Sandra Wassenich, her husband Dave; great-grandchildren Addison Crouse, Hudson Wassenich and Luke Wassenich; nephews J.E. Holt, Don Henderson and Gregg Morrow. John is preceded in death by his parents; and 11 siblings. Emma is preceded in death by her parents; a sister Arvella; a brother Sanford; and their daughter Diana Pragnell.

A graveside service for Emma will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Eisenhour Cemetery, Spokane. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Emma Mae Eutsler please visit our Sympathy Store.
