Obituary for Kristina Wesche Kristina Lynn Wesche, Age 32, died on 16 May, 2018 in Nixa, Missouri. She succumbed to illness. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ava Jacqueline Wesche and survived by her two sons Channing Nicolae Grabis and Lukas Andres Grabis, father Michael Allen Wesche, mother Sylvia Orduna Wesche, brother Anthony David Wesche, sister Premeflor Wesche Porter.
Kristina was a very thoughtful and caring person. From putting together scrapbooks for friends to planning parties and events for others, she was always making sure everyone had a good time. Kristina was also very stubborn.
As a child just learning how to use the monkey bars, she ended up going back and forth over 20 times until her arms literally couldn’t hold her up any longer. Once learning how to cartwheel she ended up doing so literally everywhere she could show off her physical prowess: the Commissary, the Base Exchange, the Hospital… literally anywhere there was room. Essentially, once her mind was set to accomplish something, absolutely nothing was going to stop her from completing that goal; and once that goal was reached, she’d proudly display her achievements.
While walking once with her parents in Yuma, Arizona, she somehow got her heart set on jumping into a giant puddle. Of course her parents wanted otherwise and tried their best to pull her back and keep her away, but Kristina made it happen. In fact she was so proud of getting into that puddle that she literally just sat in it smiling to show off her achievement.
That same stubbornness led to dedication later in life. While playing soccer for Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, she was a tremendously accomplished player. One season, after being injured and missing most of the games in the season, she returned to score 3 goals in only 6 minutes of a game, leading their team to a 6-0 victory.
In fact, she was named by Stars & Stripes as one of the dream team players from the past 10 years. This sort of dedication led her to great places in life. Kristina was also quite fearless.
From driving fast sports cars to bungee jumping from the Kawarau Bridge in Queenstown, New Zealand to participating in the Sydney Harbor Bridge Climb, she loved to push her own limits. This led her later into successful workout schedules keeping her so fit that many questioned if she actually bore children or not. And finally, Kristina was also an extremely loving and caring mother.
More than anything in this world she simply wanted to care for her children. From caring for Ava as an infant to raising her two boys while her husband was away on military deployments, she did everything she could – right down to the end – to make sure her boys were cared for. A memorial service will be held at 1400 on 25 May 2018 at Adams Funeral Home 109 N. Truman Blvd, Nixa, Missouri 65714.
