Obituary for Enna (Fenton) Detelj Enna (Fenton) Detelj, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 2nd at her home in Plainville. Born in New York City borough of Manhattan on September 13, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Ryan) Fenton. She graduated valedictorian of her high school at the age of 16 and from City College of New York with a bachelor’s degree in both Accounting and Education at the age of 20.

Enna worked in accounting for several companies including: Haber and Spire, Heublein and Blum Shapiro. She resided in Northport, NY on Long Island before moving to Southington in 1979. Enna enjoyed reading, knitting, traveling, the beach and was a fan of the NY Yankees.

She also loved her Irish heritage and was devoted to her family. Enna is survived by a son Brian Detelj of Plainville, daughters Teresa Aldieri of Southington, Tina and her wife Kristie Tapper of Stonington, CT four grandchildren Sean Aldieri and his wife Erica of Southington, Ryan Aldieri and his wife Amanda of Bristol, Michael Detelj of Hartford, Sailor Detelj of Stonington, three great grandchildren Aubrey Aldieri of Southington, Mason and Skye Aldieri both of Bristol. Besides her husband George Detelj she was predeceased by a son Michael Detelj as well as two sisters and four brothers.

Enna’s family would like to extend special thanks to Lisa Lynch for taking such wonderful care of Enna. Funeral will be Friday 9:15 am from DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington to St. Dominic Church for Mass at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Calling hours are Thursday from 6 to 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 200 Executive Blvd. Suite 48 Southington, CT 06489.
