OBITUARY Ermelinda B. Bertão October 14, 1931 – November 18, 2018 Ermelinda B. Bertão, age 87, of Hollister, California passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. She was born October 14, 1931 in Lajes, Terceira, Açores to Maria Barcelos and Silvestre Meneses. Ermelinda is survived by; daughter Ermelinda Silveira (José) of Orlando; son Fernando B. Bertão (Cremilda) of Toronto; son Agostinho Bertão (Calla) of Hollister; son Joe Bertão (Gorette) of Twin Falls, Idaho; son Jerry Bertão of Lathrop; brother Eliseu Meneses of San Diego; and brother Silvestre V. Meneses of Praia, Terceira, Açores.

She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews to honor her memory. Mrs. Bertão was preceded in death by her husband Fernando Bertão in 2013, two brothers, two sisters, and her parents Maria Barcelos and Silvestre Meneses. She was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine, California.

A visitation for Mrs. Ermelinda B. Bertão will be held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary will occur during the visitation at 7:00 PM. There will be a funeral mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church: 8471 Cypress Street, Hilmar, California.

She will be laid to rest following the service at N. Hilmar Cemetery District: 8710 N. Tegner Road, Hilmar, California. Serving as pallbearers are David Silveira, Dusty Bertão, Victor Silveira, Noah Bertão, Danny Bertão and Joseph Bertão. Services for Ermelinda B. Bertão are under the care of Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service (FD504) in Turlock, California.
