OBITUARY Erna Gallo August 5, 1922 – December 3, 2018 Southlake – Erna Gallo’s prayers were answered when her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took her Home to be with Him forever on Monday, December 3rd 2018 at age 96. Erna was born August 5, 1922 in Germany, married an American GI and moved to the United States. Her husband was later declared MIA during the Korean War and she raised her daughter, Anita alone.

Erna was a strong woman of faith and loved her family. Erna was proceeded by her parents, Martha and Robert Matzkuhn, brother, Gerhard, sister, Lily, as well as her first husband, M/SGT Clarence Smith and her second husband, Joseph Gallo. She is survived by her brother, Rheinhard, daughter, Anita O’Carroll and husband John, with whom she lived with for the past 14 years, granddaughter, Jennifer Mallory and husband Daniel, grandson, Robert O’Carroll and wife Meghan.

As well as five great-grandchildren, and one great-great–grandchild on the way. There are no services planned.
