Ola “Estelle” Beal Gilbert, 86, of Calhoun, died at her home on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, following a brief illness. Estelle was born in the Carter Community of Murray County on October 2, 1932. She was the daughter of the late James Walter and Rosie Alma Cox Beal.

Along with her parents, Estelle was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Allen Gilbert Sr.; and by her son, Norman “Allen” Gilbert Jr. For more than fifteen years, she was a greeter at Walmart. Estelle attended Victory Fellowship Full Gospel Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Paul “Shane” Gilbert and his wife, Crystal; her daughters and son-in-law, Debra Gilbert Smith and her husband, Douglas, and Pamela Gilbert Etheredge; her daughter-in-law, Ginger Gilbert; her grandchildren, Autumn Brooke Smith, Brittany Smith Byrd, Ryan Gilbert, Rebecca Etheredge, and Sarah Etheredge; her great-grandchildren, Trinity Grace Byrd, Olivia Danielle Byrd, and Morgan Byrd; her brother, James Walter Beal Jr.; her sisters, Opal Beal Evans, Earsell Beal, Marnell Beal Buttram, and Odell Beal Corn; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The Gilbert family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday at 4:00 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow the service at Chandler Cemetery.

Rev. Terry Timms will officiate; Rev. Winford Casey will officiate at the graveside.

Music will be arranged by Iris Parker. Pallbearers are Brian Young, David Sanford, Dwayne Serritt, T.J. Ezel, Ryan Gilbert, and Neil Russell. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.
