Carthage, Estelle Simmons Tripp, age 79 of Carthage, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday at Gulf Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. Bruce Benton.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Berrien County, GA she was a daughter of the late Shafter Daniel and Myrtice Moore Simmons. Estelle worked as an office manager for several years in the insurance business.

She was also a homemaker and wonderful mother. After retirement she worked at the Villager in Pinehurst for many years. She was preceded in death by her brothers Max, George, Donald and James Simmons.

She is survived by her children Lisa Tripp of N. Myrtle Beach, Craig Tripp of Carthage; her sister Elizabeth Miller of Jacksonville, FL; her former husband William Rowland “Bill” Tripp of Carthage; several nieces, nephews. The family will receive friends at Fry & Prickett Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Gulf Presbyterian Church, 1253 Gulf Rd, Goldston, NC 27252.
