Esther Hazel’s Obituary Esther Hazel Spady, 98 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born on March 21, 1921 in Gonzales, the daughter of William and Clementina Vosti. She graduated from Gonzales High School.

She worked as a book keeper for Golden West restaurants until her retirement in 1995. Her retirement years were devoted to her love for gardening, volunteering, and cooking. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays.

Esther is survived by her daughter Sheila Spady, and two granddaughters Chelsea Bennett (Quentin), Courtney Agpaoa, and a sister Dorthy Laughton and as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and Sisters Mary Vosti, Rose Pozzi, Edith Tognietti, Anita Merrill Domingos, and bother William (Bill) Vosti. At Esther’s request, she will be interred at the family plot in Gonzales in a private ceremony.
