Ethan & Shawna’s Obituary Ethan and Shawna Kiser left this world unexpectedly, but together on Monday January 28, 2019 as the result of an automobile accident. Ethan B. Kiser was born on December 18, 1996 the son of Keith and Stacie (Swinehart) Kiser in Goshen, IN and a short while later, on March 24, 1997, Shawna Leigh Young was born to Jeffrey R. and Staci Leigh Young in Kendallville, IN. They fell in love in middle school and it never wore off.

They began their newlywed life together on on August 18, 2018 when they were married at the Ligonier United Methodist Church. They both graduated from West Noble High School in 2015 and went on to pursue their dreams. Ethan fulfilled his life long dream of becoming a police officer with the Ligonier Police Department and graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in 2018.

Shawna was pursing her teaching degree full time at IPFW while working part time at Charger House in Ligonier and as a substitute teacher at West Noble Primary. Ethan loved to hunt, trap, and fish. Shawna loved the beach.

And they both loved their golden doodle, Ivory Jo, their nephews, and spending time with their families. Ethan is survived by his parents, Keith and Stacie Kiser of Kimmell; siblings, Victoria Kiser and Kelsey Ann Kiser of Indianapolis, IN and Kristopher Kiser of Kimmell; grandparents, Karen and Fred Green of Cromwell, Janet Kiser of North Webster, and Connie Swinehart of Millersburg; and a great-grandpa, Edwin “Lefty” Mynhier of Kimmell. Shawna is survived by her parents, Jeffrey Young of Syracuse and Staci Moser of Ligonier; siblings, Jacob (Brooke Gingerich) Young of Elkhart and Hailey Moser of Ligonier; grandparents, Ben and Susan Wert of Kendallville, Mike and Cheri Shearer of Ligonier, and Jeff and Jerri Harper of Syracuse; and a great-grandma, Bea Davis of Kendallville.

A funeral service will be held for Ethan and Shawna on Sunday February 3, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Crosswalk at Ligonier United Methodist Church, 466 Townline Road, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Jean Ness and Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 3-8 pm at The Crosswalk. Memorial contributions may be directed to Noble County Shop with a Cop or West Noble Primary.
