Obituary for Eugene Ellison Eugene (Gene) Parks Ellison of Fayetteville, GA passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born to Grace and Paul Parks Ellison on December 31, 1928 in Atlanta, GA. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Parks, Jr. and Edith Lambert.

Gene attended West Fulton HS ’46 and graduated with a Business Admin degree from the University of GA in ’54. Gene was a sales rep for American Seating Company for 20 years. He then formed Georgia School Equipment in 1975 and remained with the company until he retired in 2017.

Gene loved working in the school equipment industry and made deep friendships with people all over the state. Gene’s greatest love and pride was his family. He married Ellen Marie Babb in 1948 and they celebrated their 70th Anniversary in May 2018.

They have 4 daughters, Nancy Ellison, Teri (Greg) Holland, Sue (Don) Exley and Holly (Tripp) Copeland; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Gene was in the 3rd Army Reserves, was a Master Mason for over 50 years and was a member of Fayette United Methodist Church. Gene loved golf and the Georgia Bulldogs.

He enjoyed fishing, telling a good joke and he hated chicken. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather & faithful servant. His kindness and unconditional love will forever remain in his families memories and they are so thankful to have had him as their inspiration.

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Those wishing may sign the online guestbook at www. parrottfuneralhome.com.
