He was born June 15, 1950 in Detroit. Eugene graduated from Peck High School Class of 1970.

He worked for Lear Manufacturing for many years as a truck driver and for Malcomb Marine in Marine City, Michigan. Eugene loved many hobbies including photography and when he was younger he owned a 1940s Harley Davidson motorcycle. He had also been a member of the Marlette Airport Gliders Club and enjoyed piloting gliders.

Eugene is survived by his mother Margaret Pettit Gombos and sisters Linda(Roger) Swank, Cathy Mack, Janice (Jerry) Strong and brothers; Randy Pettit, Dave (Janet Lestner) Pettit and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Eugene Kwiecian Sr. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. March 2, 2019 at the Carman Banquet Hall at 5335 Sandusky Road in Peck. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon until the 2:00 p.m. service.
