Eula Christine Miller Severt Blevins age, 84 of Jefferson passed away Sunday morning at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Blevins was born on Wednesday, April 4, 1934 to the late Odie and Ettie Sheperd Miller. In addition to her parents Eula was also preceded in death by husband, Millard Severt, daughter, Rita Pruitt and a brother, Ottis Miller.

Mrs. Blevins was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she also served as the treasurer for years. Eula spent many years as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She also volunteered with the Sharing Center for 20 years.

Mrs. Blevins loved quilting, crocheting and canning. Eula was known for making quilts for her family members and would make sure they got one for Christmas or birthdays. She also loved gardening and was especially proud of her flowers.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by one son, Clayton Severt of Jefferson, one daughter, Linda Osborne and husband Carl of Jefferson. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Allen Osborne of Crumpler, Jennifer Miller of Crumpler, Scott Osborne of Jefferson, Mary Christine “Christy” of Sparta, William Day “Roy” of Candler, Jonathan Severt “John” of Lansing and step-grandson, Randall Day of Mills River. Eight great-grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive as well.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 am at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Harless. Burial will follow in the Roans Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, July 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to the Roans Creek Cemetery Fund in care of Steve Emerson 205 Liddle Road in Jefferson. The family like to offer a special thanks to Margate Health and Rehab and Dr. Leonard for all they did.

The family will be meeting at the home of Linda Osborne at 1174 Friendship Baptist Church Road in Jefferson. Words of comfort and remembrance may be viewed or sent to the family through our website at www. badgerfuneralhome.com.
