Mrs. Eva’s Obituary Viewing/service for Eva Brookins 73, of Killeen will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, 4:00 p.m. at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home in Killeen, TX. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Mrs. Brookins passed away January 30, 2019, in Killeen.

Eva Mae Clayton was born on January 25, 1946 in Camilla Georgia to the late Ethel Clayton Davis. Eva Mae lived most of her life between Trenton, New Jersey and Florida City, Florida. She attended school in the Trenton school system.

She was a mother and homemaker all of her life. She also went to Cosmetology School to do hair. She was generous and gave willingly.

When she liked you there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for you. Eva Mae departed this life on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, TX. Eva Mae married John W. Brookins Jr. and to this union five children were born.

She leaves to mourn her: two daughters, Debbie Brookins (Naomi Ellington), and Kim Brookins both of Killeen, TX; two sons, Jerome Brookins of Miami, FL and John W. Brookins III. (Kimbery E. Frost-Brookins) of Trenton NJ; twelve grandchildren, Ronique Minney, Eric Brookins (Tiffany Evans), Erica Brookins (Jennifer Brookins), Rassan Brookins (Shannon Brookins), Jerome Brookins Jr., Tyrone Brookins, Brittney Brookins, Allen Quay Brookins, Shakir Brookins, Zaria Venable, Maykala Cottman, Chardenay Wilson; thirteen great grandchildren; siblings, Lillie Sears of East Orange, NJ, Arddie Colquitt of Miami, FL, James Clayton, Patricia Davis, Thelma Davis and Carmen Davis all of Homestead, FL; aunt, Willie Mae and uncle Billy Gold of Homestead, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She will be missed very much.

Eva Mae is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Clayton Davis, brother Willie Davis and son Allen C. Brookins. R.I.P. MOMMY WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
