Evelyn L. Strickland, 82 of Plant City passed away September 8, 2018. Born in Hopewell, FL, she was the daughter of the late George and Lula Cannon Loyed. She was the wife of the late Charles Strickland.

Her survivors include children, Stanley Strickland (Betty), Samuel Strickland (Carolyn), Janie Evanicky, Phyllis Hunter (Rex); siblings, Howard Loyd, Marion Sistrunk (Buddy), Pearl Reeves (Bill); 17 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Evelyn worked for the Hillsborough County School system for 31 years retiring as a Student Nutrition Service Manager. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Plant City and loved to cook and sew.

A public visitation will be from 5-7pm, Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Haught Funeral Home, 708 W Dr MLK Jr Blvd, Plant City, with a funeral at 11am, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1805 N. Park Rd, Plant City. Online condolences may be left for the family at haught.
