Evelyn Lucille Tomlin June 27, 1922 – March 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Evelyn Lucille Tomlin, of Manistee, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital. She was 96. Mrs. Tomlin was born June 27, 1922 in Oak Grove, Michigan to George and Edna (Root) Holcomb.

She graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1940. She married Gerald R. Tomlin April 25, 1942 in Fowlerville and he preceded her in death July 8, 2005. Evelyn and Gerald moved from the Howell/Fowlerville area to Kaleva in 1984, then to Evart in 1997.

Evelyn moved to the Cadillac/Manistee area in 2008. Mrs. Tomlin is survived by two daughters, Carol Gilboe of Waterford, Karen (Randy) Oliver of Manistee, two sons, Robert Tomlin of Flint, Gene (Judy) Tomlin of Arkansas, many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald in 2005, daughters Joyce Howerton in 2012, Jone Kopke in 2005, daughter-in-law Patricia Tomlin in 2018, son-in-laws Dennis Rees in 2013, Duane Gilboe in 2014, three granddaughters, Ann Marie Tennant, Tracy Lynn Tomlin, and Lisa Anne Gilboe, and three sisters, Alice Lindsay, Aletha Hall, and Lila Moore.

Funeral services honoring the life of Evelyn Lucille Tomlin are 1:00pm Monday, March 11th at the Corey Funeral Home in Evart with Pastor Paul Weissenborn officiating. Visitation will be noon until time of services. Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in Forest Hill Cemetery when weather allows.
