MONIZ-ANDRADE, Evelyn P. (Rego), 93, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home. She was the wife of the late John J. Moniz and Antonio Andrade. A lifelong resident of West Warwick, she was the daughter of Manuel Rego, Sr. and Teolinda (Silva).

Evelyn is survived by her amazing son, John E. Moniz and loving daughter, Geraldine F. Moniz. She is also survived by her devoted sister, Eileen Medeiros as well as many dear nieces and nephews and friends. Evelyn is predeceased by her siblings, Delia Lima, Amelia Cavaco, Elizabeth Moniz, Marie Gereau, Patricia Beattie, Manuel Rego, Louis Rego, Harry Rego, Eugene Rego and Francis Rego.

Evelyn was a vibrant, active, fun loving person who enjoyed a little mischievous behavior. Her favorite time was spent with family and friends sitting in the sunshine, swinging on her swing on her front porch. “Tis the gift to be simple”.

Many thanks to her caregivers and also the kind staff at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care RI. Visiting hours will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 8:30-10:30 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick. All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life at St. Anthony Church, Sunset Ave.

, West Warwick at 11:00 am. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Coventry.
