Mrs. Evelyn (Slater) Wesley was the daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Sims Slater. She was born December 31, 1928 in Darlington County. Mrs. Evelyn (Slater) Wesley was called home May 2, 2018, after an illness at UPMC Mercy University Pittsburg Penn.

Mrs. Evelyn worked in Trenton N.J., as a Laundry worker for many years. Evelyn also owned her own restaurant in Trenton for many years. She was known for one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks Sandwiches in town.

In her leisure time she loved cooking and working in her flower garden. Her yard was so beautiful until everyone called her the lady with the green thumb. Mrs. Evelyn will be missed greatly by many friends and relatives especially her children.

Surviving to cherish her memories are: Two children her daughter, Rose Frazier of Hartsville S. C. and her son Stephen ((Julie) Horton from Pittsburg Penn. One sister Rebecca Bacote of Hartsville S.C. Four grandchildren, Lavonia James, Charles Young, and Felicia Bishop of Trenton N.J., Buffy (Ronald) Ferguson from Queen N.Y. and a special niece Eva Bull, of Brooklyn New York. Those preceding her in death other than her parents were: five sisters; Rose London, Ethel McPhail, Annie Murray, Sarah Miles and Lena Slater.

Four Brothers, Harvey Slater, Henry Slater, Tommie Slater, and Murray Slater. A special grandson, Omar Bishop. And a host of relatives and friends.
