Obituary for F. Jay Payne Freeland, Michigan Loving son, father, brother and uncle passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Age 59 years. The son of John Payne and the late Rosetta Garay, Jay was born on September 30, 1959 in Cadillac, Michigan.

Jay enjoyed NASCAR, being the family historian and loved to be “Uncle Santa Claus” to his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered to have a generous and caring heart and always being the first to help someone in time of need. Jay was a driver for Sparkle Pro Clean for 14 years.

Surviving besides his son, Justin Wrightsman are his siblings, Paula (Glen) Moore, Tina (Kris) Granzo, Anthony Lopez; step-siblings, Nora Solis, Rosie Kucar and Martin Lopez; many nieces and nephews. Jay was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Payne and by his nephew, John Weighandt. Honoring the wishes of the family cremation has taken place.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty). In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
