Faye Lapp Fischer September 17, 1918 – March 16, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Faye Lapp Fischer, 100, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019. She was born September 17, 1918 to the late Robin H. and Clara Cook Lapp. Faye married the love of her life, John J. Fischer, on August 19, 1945 in Cuero.

She graduated Cuero High School and became a service representative for Southwestern Bell working alongside her sister for 45 years. Faye was a member of First Baptist Church in Cuero, and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was also active in the Garden Club and was a true telephone pioneer.

Faye loved to travel and has numerous photo books displaying their adventures. Faye is survived by her brother, Harold Lapp and wife, Phyllis; sister, Jane Carlyn Adams; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Ruth Stein; brother, Roy Lapp; and brother-in-law, Eugene Adams Jr. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Keith Lapp, Tracey Lapp, Clay Lapp, Ben Lapp, Anthony Smith, and Matthew Jackson.
